About The Well-being Box
I have always loved putting together little gift packages for friends and family and that, along with my own personal experiences of anxiety and depression, led me to The Well-being Box.
Living away from family and close friends while suffering postnatal depression, made me feel isolated and, at times, very alone. Anyone that has been in a similar situation, will know the conflicting feelings I had of wanting to hide away from the world but also, not wanting to be lonely. It was at this time that little acts of kindness, such as a card and bar of chocolate sent in the post by a friend, were so welcome and uplifting for me.
Looking after our mental health is so important and now, more than ever, we should make sure those people we care for know we are thinking of them and are there for support if needed. Sometimes it is difficult to know what to say or do and this is where a gift from The Well-being Box steps in.
In putting together each box I have drawn on my own experiences of different life-stages and events to pull together a selection of products that promote self-care and show thoughtfulness in a box.
The boxes also include some tips to help support well-being. Each box is also beautifully presented in our luxury gift boxes and includes a gift card.
My hope is that receiving a package from The Well-being Box will be a very positive experience for the recipient which will really brighten their day.
I am very lucky to be Mum to three beautiful boys that keep my husband and I fully on our toes at all times. Also in the house is a boisterous 4 year old Labrador that brings us so much joy.
We love being outside and enjoy long walks, cycling or just being in the garden. Most weekends you will find us at the side of a football pitch watching one of the boys play football. On a normal day I am not a big football fan, but watching them play and the enjoyment they get from it makes up for this, and the often savage weather we are dealing with!
Focusing on looking after myself has not always been top of my to-do list, but I now work hard to make sure I take some time out. It has taken me a while to realise that it is really important to do this for my own self-care and well-being. For me this normally means doing yoga or having some chocolate with a good mug of tea!
I also love cooking, especially Italian food. Baking does not come as easily to me though, so that is a work in progress! Home interiors is also another passion of mine and I normally have a number of projects on the go.
